Thats not even slightly simple and lots of those things are at odds with each other. E.g. soaps would get more sparkly/shimmery than aggressive ... and having lots of bottom and fundamental while being burpy mid-present and barky is a tough trick.

It was meant to be humorous ;-)....tried to load up every tone adjective I've ever heard in one sentence.

Thinking I should wait until the "normal" product distribution chains get some normal pricing established.

Yes, this has Metro pricing starting at $2490. I guess I'm so used to the Sadowsky website where the pricing for each line was well laid out and transparent. My understanding is that Warwick has not yet published Metro pricing and there may be more finish variations than before. Best to sit tight for now, I think.

Exactly. Honestly, I would wait for the reviews of the Warwick metro line. I have had several metro line japan, they have Sadowsky tone and amazing sounds, yes, metro line japan is a great bass.,, but the reality is that the construction, the acoustic resonance of the NYC chamber, the low action, the painting, the choice of the woods , the NYC tone, the work of personal in Sadowsky NYC Shop and the final inspection of the master dr. Frets Roger Sadowsky in my opinion make a big very BIG difference. Before a buy Warwick Metro line that I understand must be a great instrument, Warwick is a great company , but wait, the time Speak ,, or to make sure for a little more money I recommend a NYC even if it is used. Is my personal opinion.

I personally consider my 2014 MV5 natural gloss 5-string top notch in all matters: book matched ash body is very much resonating, very low string height w/o any buzz, straight neck, no single flaw in the finish or wood, very light (8.6 lbs) so I don't want less weight to keep the punch in the sound. I consider the work on this model by the TYO shop somewhat equivalent to NYC, though no chambering available (no need).
However you're right: Warwick has to proof their quality being head to head with Yoshi's past "custom shop" abilities.

Yes, I've been here a while and followed the Warwick agreement closely. I used that PDF (and NAMM videos) when I called two dealers to inquire abut their pricing for the three NAMM display Metros for sale. I asked each for a price list for the new metro line, all models and finishes, so that I could verify their asking prices for those particular builds. I also reached out to the NYC shop to get clarification beyond what is in the videos and PDF.

The first Sadowskys are showing up on Warwick's site, prices are listed in Euros. So far only the whale blue Namm bass with the roasted neck and quilted top is listed and it seems to be built to order. It is a 2020 limited edition and also available as a Metro. Metro Express basses are supposed to be available in 16 weeks and are starting at 799 Euros for the European market.

That's good you reached out to the NYC shop. I wasn't referring to you, I was talking to the guy that got himself banned last night. Seemed like the same guy that got banned a few weeks ago decided to try and come back with a new name.

If you want accurate pricing info, the Only valid source at this time would be the Sadowsky NYC shop (Roger) themselves. You can contact Roger, JR, or Carl at the NYC shop or reach out to Roger or JR in this thread. They are both always seem to be eager to help TBr’s that reach out to them. There would appear to be some people (or 1 person) that are inserting they’re own version of pricing and they are very argumentative against the Roger the owner of Sadowsky, no idea why. I would refer to what Sadowsky publishes directly, they are the company, end of story, the buck stops there. Hopefully this comment does not cause any heartburn, it’s just meant to point out some of the trolling recently in this thread. I have no connection to Sadowsky, other than I am a Sadowsky player and I own 4 of them that I have bought from the NYC shop. Sadowsky’s are great bases, built by great people.
