Wow! I thought my last two ME's were stupid light at 8.3!

Here it is, after 9+ months on the order sheet, one of the last 10 Satin Basses to leave the NYC shop.

Such an amazing experience with the entire Sadowsky crew, as their perfection built an amazing instrument.

What a feeling to have one of the last USA Satins.

When I seen the FedEx truck, it was like the Good Humor truck was stopping.

Worth EVERY penny!

Beautiful bass, enjoy it. Still waiting for mine, ordered on Dec 30, 2019. I’m told we’re down to the final few weeks.

I asked Roger about the weight of my Satin 4 string, because I’ve seen some 4 bangers 7.5-8 lbs.

Mine scales out @ 8.23 with a Hipshot Dtuner.

His response makes sense, Every piece of wood is different. So it’s still under Rogers spec of 8.5.

No matter, that weight is still over a pound less then all my other axes.

The bass feels like a toy compared to my American Special.

So after playing it for about 4 hours over the past 48hours, I can certainly say it’s awesome.

Simply looking at the bass it resembles a Fender J, well it certainly IS NOT A FENDER J.

Subtle touches, impeccable build quality, perfect balance and versatile preamp, sets it apart from the rest.

Glad I worked my ass off for the overtime; it’s the best money I’ve spent in years.

Bravo Roger Sadowsky and crew, amazing stuff!

Glad I worked my ass off for the overtime; it’s the best money I’ve spent in years.

Yeah, this is one of those "investments" that will pay significant and continuous dividends, making it so easily worth it if you can manage the hump of the up front cost. That said, now that the "barrier to entry" is all the way down under $1K, pretty much anyone can have at least some level of this.

Indeed! When see remarks to the effect that Sadowskys are Fender clones, I always laugh. Clearly the folks who say that have not played a Sadowsky.

Been playing my American Special for almost 10 years, this bear is VERY DIFFERENT!

Familiar, but different.

Should have purchased one sooner.

Yes, I like my Fenders, but also like keeping them at home. Nice to look at, for inspiration, and they remind me how far we've come in the last 69 years... Honestly I haven't gigged or recorded with my Fenders since the Sadowsky purchase, nearly a year ago.

Sadowsky Metro Hybrid was my gateway drug to the NYC world. But I can quit anytime I want.
Currently two NYCs with a third (Satin) on the way.
Roger is a devious saint.

this fender vs sadowsky thing comes up all the time. at the end of the day, they both have a solid place in the lineup, but for those that end up bonding more with the sadowsky basses as i have, the experience usually goes that they try it out solo, sounds ok, but what's the big deal. then they play it with a band or tracks, and the light goes on. lol
