Here it is, after 9+ months on the order sheet, one of the last 10 Satin Basses to leave the NYC shop.

Such an amazing experience with the entire Sadowsky crew, as their perfection built an amazing instrument.

What a feeling to have one of the last USA Satins.

When I seen the FedEx truck, it was like the Good Humor truck was stopping.

Worth EVERY penny!

For me nothing beats Sadowsky's satin DLPB for a solid color. I love my DLPB Verdine White, enjoy and play the hell out of that Satin J!

Sure and from Warwick as well, but you’re missing the point: it isn’t and wasn’t about the finish itself, but more about the remarkable value that the Satin Series represented for a NYC bass.

And that’s a 5-string! It is surprising how light some of these MEs are coming in at considering that they are solid body ash & alder basses! Anyone know why the differences between MIJ ME vs. ML weights? Just lucky with the batches of wood supplied for MEs or did wood shopper specifically try to source lighter stock or some other differences in manufacturer?

I just got super lucky on this one. for example, there's another IBM ME up now alder/morado that's more of a typical weight at 8.8lbs. bottom line, if you do see some light ones, and that's something you're looking for, nab it, because they're definitely going to be harder and harder to find over time.
