Club Sadowsky!!!

anyone knows if you can switch to single coil to get a ‘70ies jazz’ kind of sound ?

Here a my two Sadowsky NYC Basses.

The white J is a what I believe to be a 1992 solid body with EMG pickups. This workhorse bass has been to most of my shows. It’s perfect. I purchased it used and have owned this bass since mid 90’s.

The P Bass is a Vintiquity model. After a long search I acquired this bass in early 2020. P Bass Perfection !

My old p bass, great bass. You enjoying it? What a beautiful finish.

So I’ve been working on this piece for a while now. When my NYC PJ came in, I got inspired to replace some of the parts with it. I used all 3 of my Sadowsky basses on this song.

I also played the guitars, keyboards and programmed all the drum tracks too. (took forever) But hey, what else do you do while being shacked up?!?! :smug:

Very like the sounds, great job!!! I wish if Myung were well heared in early DT albums like this...
Good ideas and rhythm changes, interesting prog. stuff.
I think the drum track should be recorded live, you could find a drummer for it for sure.

This was an idea that me and my old drummer actually did many, many years ago as a drum/bass solo for live shows. This drum track was pretty close to what he did. I programmed it all by memory. I sent him a rough draft of the Drums and Bass and he loved it. But, yeah...I wish they were live too!

Yes...it was Alex Aguilar before he started Aguilar Amps with Boonshoft.

well, there you go then. Memory issue solved. My first Sadowsky bass was bought used from Jimmy Coppola many years ago when he and RS were in Brooklyn. It was a beautiful figured top 5 string that had belonged to Dave Boonshoft originally. I sold it in a state of stupidity and have been wondering where it ended up ever since.
