Played this today, At Huber and Breese in a Motown Suburb. They just became a Sadowsky (Warwick) dealer got in 4 and already sold 2 in a week. I was thoroughly impressed it was certainly the equal of the RV5 Metro I owned. The Germans build them as good as the Japanese! What do you know?

Here a my two Sadowsky NYC Basses.
The white J is a what I believe to be a 1992 solid body with EMG pickups. This workhorse bass has been to most of my shows. It’s perfect. I purchased it used and have owned this bass since mid 90’s.
The P Bass is a Vintiquity model. After a long search I acquired this bass in early 2020. P Bass Perfection !

With a little advice from @deepestend, here's how to fit Jazz Bass knobs on your UV bass, or any bass with a Sadowsky preamp:
I used standard Fender replacement knobs: I bought two packs of 3 (2x vol, 1x tone) and I bought the LOWER concentric knob that Fender sells. You can use the tone knob for the treble concentric shaft. They're not exactly bakelite, truth be told, but they look and work fine. My bass is a Metro, so that meant 6mm shafts, not the 1/4 ones you get on the NYC basses. Every Jazz Bass knob I searched for was also 1/4" (Maybe they're out there @ 6mm) so I also bought a pack of brass sleeves you can get at Allparts (you can see one in the photo below). The only tool I needed for this was a reamer (this one was "Amazon's Choice") to grind the concentric knob's hole up to 8mm to fit the preamp's lower concentric shaft, and my soldering vice to hold the knob in place.
Super easy.

Beautiful bass but the knobs are terrible IMO. Much rather have the Sleek Sadowsky style knobs.
Yes...it was Alex Aguilar before he started Aguilar Amps with Boonshoft.
On something that modern-looking, I might agree, the nice aluminum knobs would look great. I only changed it because it was a UV model.
I think it looks great on the UV70. I think the double-stack Fender knob looks cool. I like subtle mods that “make it yours.”
At some point UV models came stock with those traditional Jazz Bass knobs. At least I know that I played a Metro UV at Bass Central that had them.
That Bill Evans import live record in Tokyo from 1990 is for me an all-time favorite DJ tone, and I'm pretty confident I'm hearing Sadowsky.
Maybe, “not my particular taste” (if he had actually asked for opinions) would have been a little more diplomatic. just trying to help keep this one of the last civil and intelligent places on the virtual and non virtual planet. Imo of course.
