Does anyone know the outside height of these bags. Just wondering as my normal preferred Mono M80 is around 52 inches long on the exterior.

I just measured 50" length with a max width of 16.5".

I just measured both of mine and got 50 1/2" for both.

my satin nyc came with the gator hard/soft shell case

Mine also , didn't realize that I had too upgrade when ordering the bass to the Portabag , I would have.

That is so weird this link on the Sadowsky site when ordering a USA NYC instrument says it automatically comes with a Sadowsky portabag:

Same situation. If I was aware I had to upgrade I for sure would have payed the upgrade fee.

Portabags and Hardshell cases come with NYC Custom Orders. Although the Satin Series are NYC, they came with the Gator case. If you wanted the Portabag there is an up charge for it.

I had seen a Sadowsky P body with a PJ config with a soap bar or super J (?) that really had me intrigued when I saw it on the site. Really wondered what that would be like. Not the kind of thing you find preowned but would definitely explore if doing a build. Problem is is there is so many amazing options with Sadowsky situation that I don’t think I could ever order one without feeling I should’ve done something else not that I would wind up with anything that would be bad that’s for sure

I think that's because the website relates to the current NYC line up, which no longer includes the lower priced "Satin Series" maybe?

Satin’s originally came with a porta bag- at some point they changed it

i found that out after haahhhahah

after I opened the box for my nbd I thought it was going to be a portabag but it was a gator case. It’s fine I should have inquired. It was not super clear on the website but I guess you have to be in the know. I was just excited to snag one of the last satin deluxes. Had I known it was a gator case and I could pay an up charge for the portabag I would have gladly payed the up charge for the porta bag.

I’m a fan of the Gator soft/hard case. Best of both worlds to me, light weight and great protection. I ordered another for my other nice bass.

I was a bit disappointed at first that the Satin came with a Gator case but it is a nice case . I have my older Metro in a Blues Union Aero case that I think is an excellent case , however it doesn't have pockets for anything more than some sheet music , strings and picks
