I personally love the Alleva headstock, but I TOTALLY understand those who see it as a bit over the top:) It took me a bit of time also, but seeing them in person is quite different from the pictures. That being said, I just totally, completely love the Sadowsky Vintage look... literally everything about it (the uber quality finishes, the reduced body, the J/P legit headstock, the bridge...everything!).

I feel my trans orange ash/maple vintage is the most beautiful bass (to me) that I've ever owned!

I agree totally with this...I never cared for the headstock but I never disliked it enough not to try one. Once I got one in person I did not even really notice the headstock any more. I guess you get used to it over time or something as it never really bothered me. I have a Trans White MV5 now (need to post some pics) that definitely has a classic look to it. A non musician friend of mine who has probably seen me with at least 60 or 70 basses over the last few years made the comment this past weekend that he thought it was the most beautiful bass he had ever seen me with. I would probably agree...The finish has a pattern to it that is almost like an animal skin!

I wonder if I can sneak a question in concerning Kevin Grantt's "Carolina Blue" 5-string?
TB Mod Chef and I are wondering what kind of bridge appears in this photo of "Swine's" beautiful Sadowsky bass?

Just so you know...Kevin Weighs each and ever bass before they are pictured for the website. All weights are the actual weight of the Instrument.

It has disturbed my dreams for a long time--but in a good way.

I would love to know the entire story about this bass, besides the well-know theft, rebuild, recovery, and sale of rebuild. Am I bad?

BTW, Chef and I are still wondering about this bridge...yeah, gonna post it again...somebody must know, right?

Times are a little tight, so she has to go.
When things pick up (hopefully soon!!!) I'll grab another one. But right now, I need to have a little extra in the bank.

I'll be throwing her up in the classifieds later tonight, but thought maybe one of the club guys might grab her.
