Club Sadowsky!!!

Bora blue burst over quilt has become my favorite. Here's a couple of pics I've hung on to for years. Love the geometric top on 5964, and the roasted neck below.

It seems to me that a NYC Sadowsky P is quite rare and I'm not sure why that is. The ultra vintage P shaped body with just a P, no PJ. I've often thought about ordering one. I have a Fender CS P that I just love and the tone is terrific. But I hate the Fender hardware and fussing with the set-up seems archaic compared to a Roger build. So, a Sadowsky build, with the great balance, chambered body, easy set-up and intonation, expert fit and finish, pre-amp/bypass, could be the ultimate P. I can't be alone thinking this.

Was someone on here asking about a P only Sadowsky? Recent customer build:

When I ordered my Satin, I so desperately wanted the Satin Deluxe in blue.

I stepped up big time for the NYC Satin, and couldn’t pony-up another $800 for the flame top.

Just put a roof on the house and things were tough.

But ohhhhhhhhh man!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have one. I also purchased it from Specialty Traders. My bass was labeled as B-Stock due to some cosmetic issues so I was able to pick it up for a little less ($799$).

I’ve never had the opportunity to play a Sadowsky, so it will be interesting to see how your RSD compares.
I just got mine today at work. No amp here to try her out. I am really impressed with the packing job. The gig bag was also better quality wise than I was expecting. I am a little concerned the action looked a little high and the barrels were almost on the deck. I can tell a little difference in the quality but it does have that Sadowsky feel to her. The neck dive is pretty heavy though. I will strap her up tonight and see how she hangs standing. Did you already receive yours?

I’ve had mine since December. I’ve always liked Rogers take on the J-bass design (especially his 5-string basses), so I ordered one pretty soon after they landed in the US.

Hey all...I’ve been trying different pick guards on my transparent blue MV-5 lately and haven’t settled on any that I really like. I’ve always been drawn to the “naked” jazz bass look, so I found some black pan head screws the correct size and just put them in the holes and went completely guard free. I have a clear guard for it as well, but frankly did not care for how it looked, as weird as that sounds.

I’d love to hear some thoughts or opinions as I’m totally on the fence here...
