Club Sadowsky!!!

Shoreline gold always looks awesome, but I really like it with that tort guard.

I originally ordered it with the parchment. I got the tort a few years later. It has been on there since. I really like the look of it. I have to admit, I have thought about getting a second pick guard for some other basses I have (a candy apple red G&L that came with a white guard and a parts built P bass in Ocean Turquoise with a white guard). Thinking a black one for the P bass, but not sure about that CAR color.

Deep into the Youtube rabbit hole I stumbled upon this great recording of this 80's classic. Powerful bass tone.
I cannot tell if he is playing a Sadowsky Bass in this video...

Not sure what that is, but not a Sadowsky.

Ordered my Satin with extra pickgurds.

With the white installed the blue pops.

Put the tort on and the color darkens big time! Almost black in some lighting.

A pick guard changes the personality with 11 screws.

It’s a John Carruthers bass with EMGs.

Trevor Horn is a great player and even though it’s not a Sadowsky, he gets a great tone with that bass.

There's MetroExpress, MetroLine, and the MasterBuilt lines by Warwick. MasterBuilt is NYC level with chambering.
Masterbuilt also seems to be NYC prices so I think I would just go with an NYC built Sadowsky. I’m sure the Masterbuilt is a great instrument but I chose the bass because Roger’s name is on the headstock. I’m just referring to this price point.

I was thinking the same. In fact, the NYC is likely less (from the few masterbuilt I've seen on here) for what I had in mind, so I'd do that, although there is a metro out there that is probably "close enough" to what I have in mind anyway.

I wonder how this changes based on location. I'm sure there's got to be a difference regarding this comparison in Europe with exchange rates and import taxes and other costs removed.
