Please tell me more about that Sadowsky StingRay.
Those are special order basses only. The best bet now would be the one made by Warwick because the NYC shop is limited to 15 basses a month per the contract with Warwick and nothing coming out of NYC is less than $5k, and often much more than that.

My new-to-me MV5 came with Dunlop Super Bright Steel strings. I like the tone, as I can tamp it down with the VTC, but like the stiffer Sad Blue Labels. Not fond of tweaking truss rods. You think I'll need a minor adjustment on the truss rods if I swap out to the Blues? (Figure I might need to adjust the saddle due to the taper, but that's okay.)
It may have helped. Didn’t seem as bright today. I also favored the neck pup just slightly with the blend knob which also sounded good. So does passive actually. Maybe once I get a Bergantino Studio B pedal I can have presets for all my basses. Active, passive, whatever.

Random thought of today: I wonder if a RSD MetroExpress fretless neck would bolt up to a MIJ MetroLine body? Might be an affordable way to convert from fretted to unlined fretless?
I kinda figured, but it never hurts to hope. What model RSD do you have? Any noise issues? I’m really thinking about picking up a five string fretless RSD as a back up/dive bar counterpart to my NYC fretless.
as soon as they get the copyright issue worked out I’ll be getting a 5string fretless Express
I don’t care so much about the copyright or headstock logo issues, I would just like them to get the noise problem taken care of. I had one ready to ship the other day from a dealer, but they recommended not purchasing it due to the noise they encountered during pre-shipping testing. Bummer.

NBD-German Sadowsky Metro WL. Ash/Maple. Have to admit I wasn’t happy with the Sadowsky/Warwick deal—I’ve had Japanese Metros and a NYC and was skeptical about Warwicks involvement. However, this WL is 7.4lbs with outstanding fit and finish—sounds great. It may be my favorite Sadowsky so far—I am proved wrong.
Congrats. The low weight is outstanding. Is it chambered?
And, can you describe the fret ends? I was told they are buried.
I have a Warwick Sadowsky Will Lee RW4 coming in July. Alder/Morado/Gloss Black. I was told to expect the weight to be low 8lbs. 7.4lbs is a featherweight.
I have gassed for one for years. Now it's happening.
