Just recorded another clip with the PJ, it’s the fattest sounding Sad I ever had.

Yeah, I never liked PJ’s either. Until my first Sadowsky PJ. Now it is my go to.

Why do you think Sadowsky PJs are better? I also don't usually care for PJs, but am wondering about the Sadowsky.
No idea, I stayed away from them. I got this one in a partial trade and planned to sell it.
But I played it a bit and was impressed.
So I have not much reference in this subject.
But it is my 15th Sadowsky, 12 great ones, but this one…wow!

Anyone care to share some thoughts on the singlecut? I’m about to pull the trigger in a singlecut JJ version.

I bought modern SC 5 at the end of last year (I am actually selling it) - is an amazing bass and you can really feel the larger body makes the B string sound so amazing BUT at the same time I can't stand the shape, I don't know, I just don't like the way it looks. Also I play a lot sitting down (studio, practice) and I find the bass slides out of my leg a lot .... but other than that it is an incredible bass !!
Very sad to hear about the sudden passing of the great Michael Rhodes. He was to Nashville as Will Lee is to NYC. One of the absolute greats. I know he was a long time Sadowsky player. What a gem of a musician and bass player.
I picked up a Sire P7 to add to my Sadowsky RV5, figured it was cheap enough but found I liked the PJ sound. When Roger opened up the shop again during Covid I picked up a VW Satin NYC 5 string , absolutely insane sounding bass.
This is 50/50. But I experimenting a lot, unknown realm for me.
