TI jazz flats: Very interesting, I think this would be my next try should the Fat Beams not be satisfactory.

That Pepto Pink back color would remind me of a few infamous hangovers I've had, but it is a magnificent looking body. What neck/fretboard combo are you going with?

Scrolling down to the picture, seeing just the upper horn had me queasy, then I was neutral when I could see the full neck pocket, but once the neck pickup route was visible I was drooling (in a good way). Full body view - wowza!!

I’m not the biggest P/J fan, but they are great when they are done right. This bass sounds incredible.

While I don’t believe we’ll ever find out for sure, I’ve often wondered the same.
If you look at the serial numbrs here: Serial Numbers – Sadowsky Guitars you can get the numbers up to 2017. It seems like production on that year was greatly reduced and I guess it remains as low at the moment (maybe around 10 basses per month?)
I always presumed the bridge spacing on Sadowsky 4 string basses is the same as Fender, but Fender is 19mm and Sadowsky is 20mm. Perhaps older Fenders had 20mm spacing? (Comparing a 2016 Japan Jazz bass with non adjustable saddles).

I have a German Warwick Sadowsky MetroLine Will Lee and a USA Spector NS-2 with a Thin Neck. Both 4-strings. The quality, fit, finish and playability of each is so close as to be a toss up. They are both a joy to play.
Will I see an improvement in playability (or anything else) if I order a custom NYC Sadowsky? Do any TBers own both and can comment? I know a fancy top isn't going to make it sound better. Are the electronics in the Warwick and NYC Sadowskys exactly the same?

Annual rates of production likely vary with size of staff. During the Pandemic shutdown, it looks like the shop was down to a skeleton staff, and there may have been supply chain issues, to boot. One could take the latest serial # and divide by number of years for shop activity, but that really won't tell you much, particularly if you're looking to project completion time on a new order. Serial ## could be parsed - either through collective action by folks pooling their serial numbers and purchase dates, or perhaps through Wayback research of the Sadowsky website? Or maybe someone could simply ask the shop if they are interested in cooperating toward development of this data?
