Are you kidding? Again, we're talking about top class craftmanship on these basses. La creme de la creme...
Like any bass it could or couldn't speak to you, if you know what I mean, but you won't find the smallest imperfection on something with Sadowsky written on it.

That depends on the bass and the pickups. The single coils can get pretty noisy if you start panning between pickups. My 4 string is very quiet while my 5 is a little on the noisy side. Again, this seems to be a matter of the pickups - the shielding work on Sadowskys is impeccable, as is the workmanship in general. One thing you can be certain of - there was a great deal of care that went into the making of that bass and Roger and his staff stand behind their work 100%. I think everyone participating on this thread who owns a Sadowsky would agree that the customer service at Sadowsky is second to none. These guys don't just want you to buy one of their basses - they want you to be HAPPY with the bass you have purchased. Also keep in mind that the resale value on Sadowskys tends to be excellent. Definitely a company worth supporting.:bassist:

True. In fact, I'd like to qualify your "pretty noisy" comment because of the quality of their work. Yes, true, compared to hum cancelling pickups, but to be fair, amongst single coil pickups, they're among the quietest I've ever played through. Yes, this means you can favor or even solo a pickup in many venues with a particularly tolerable level of SC hum. Yeah, it's always there, but by far not the worst I've ever heard and tried to tolerate.

I have SC's in my JJ5, and I'm particularly annoyed by buzz/hum, etc, and I can deal with this one. :)

Bottom line: surprisingly usable SCs.

There is no "typical" noise with the Sadowsky single coils. They are atypically quiet. Especially compared to a typical Fender.
