Sounds awesome. I love the Carmel burst. I have the same bass on order but I'm going with 59 burst. I was torn between carmel burst or 59 burst but the 59 ultimately won out. Either would be great though.

It will be quite close to Jim Carr's 4-string P/J, the biggest differences being the simple top and Morado fretboard. In fact, the configuration was inspired by his bass, as well as the finish.

Just got an e-mail from Kevin at Sadowsky Guitars tellin' me that my UV-P body is in spray and I will receive a pic of it by mid-June. Then after about 30 days the bass will be complete!!!!! By the end of July I could enjoy my new baby, yeahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 
And let me add that I placed the order at the end of January so we're within a 6 months wait ... not bad since:
1) they usually quote a 6 to 8 months wait time;
and
2) the finish on my bass usually requires a little more time.

It took me a long time to decide between J/J and P/J... I really like my NYC MV 5 J/J, and wanted to add a Sadowsky 4-string. Since I covered the jazz tone, in the end the decision was directed towards adding more sound options...
Well, I don't own a Sadowsky, but dream and hope and pray that one day I will. I just needed to come in here to torture myself looking at some great basses... and since I didn't even realize Roger was on this forum say I love your basses Roger! Now if only I could afford it 
After being Sadowsky free for many years, a lightly used, bright red M5-24 made its way to my front door this week. 
It seems like no matter how much I try to love the Jazz, I always make my way back to the humbucker crowd. Sometimes you just need to face the facts.
Twenty four fret, thumbwheel truss rod adjuster, passive option, 34" scale length and two band eq; all the specs are there. Sadowsky quality and humbucker tone accounted for. And most importantly, Roger and crew's "really really friendly, nice guy mojo" included standard.
Currently strung with DR Sunbeams with a high B. My first chance to play out with it will be Sunday morning.

Great looking bass! Interesting... I don't think I've seen a high B tuning on a bass before... I'd assume that's mainly for folks familiar with playing guitar, so they can use the same runs/fingerings as desired.
Exactly. All my scale fingerings and three / four note chord grips transfer directly over from the guitar to this bass.
The only downside is that I loose the symmetry of tuning in fourths on the high string. Which means I need to move my pinky (or ring finger) up a fret for fifths and octaves.
I figured something had to give. It's much easier to remember to move one finger, one fret than it is to remember new scales and chords.
