Well at least you didn't say clear... ;)

Honestly this bass looks much better than the pictures and realize I don't take great pics.
I don't think the picture from the Sadowsky site does it justice either and those are usually darn good IMO.
I vainly stood in front of my big bathroom mirror with plenty of light and the parchment just make the bass pop!

I might have chosen a tort to fab for this bass but my other Sad has one and I wanted different. Maybe mint would have toned it down some. Anyway I'm going to leave the Parchment on for a while. attached is a different view of both my NYC's.

I wonder how many of us stare at our basses in the bathroom mirror...... Hmmmmmmmm :eyebrow: AND, have that poster in the background too!

I must admit Im yes on both! :D

You won't find this on the website, becasue it's a custom order. :)

Ordered nearly a year ago now, no problems, no nothing.

The leds were an aftermarket job BTW. An orangey red color.

Can't wait for the 5 string!! Which was ordered on the 20th, last month. :hyper::hyper::hyper:

Specs: 5 string Vintage, Ash Body, Maple fretboard, Black hardware, Black finish, BWB Pickguard, Sadowsky's own Soapbars.

Well, I pulled the trigger on a new bass. Unfortunately I can't see any awy to avoid selling this great bass. I think I will try my best to keep it, but someone in the UK may end up being able to take this off my hands. :bawl: I hate GAS!!!!!

Which pickup vendors does Sadowsky use? I included the quote from Roger Sadowsky. Is the PJ 4 & 5 both a "J" & "P" from Nordy?

Hey guys, I've got a question. So i've been noticing lately that my Mesa Walkabout Scout 12 has been farting out on me sometimes when I use my Sadowsky. Particular when I play the B string with any sort of force. At first I figured "Eh, must need another cab because the single 12" speaker can't handle it". But then I played my Pedulla and had no issues at all at the same volume. Could it just be that the sadowsky B string is more aggressive and my cab can't handle it? I would have thought it would happen with both basses. Should I raise the string height on the B? lower the pups? Any clue why this might be happening with just my Sad?

Turn down your pre gain. Mine sounded ratty through my Woods until I cut the input gain. Much smoother now.

My Standard 5 has considerably more bite than my other basses. If turning down the gain a little doesn't help, then I would lower the pickups just a touch and see if that does the trick.

I dunno about that. In the short time that I've had my bass, I've discovered that changing the relative position of the pickups, string height and neck relief changes the sound pretty radically. The bass seems to be at its' best dialed in to a certain balance, hence my recommendation he adjust the amp and see what happens. YMMV.
