You are going to love this bass! You gonna keep the bell cover over the pickups? Mine just feels naked without it.

Kevin was very kind to send me pics of the sprayed body of my upcoming UV P-bass!!! About one month to completion!!!!!

I whish I could say the same about my rev. PJ5
But it will take some more months...
Is your oder on schedule or even a bit ahead?
I think I read some time ago, that the shop is a bit ahead on schedule.....![]()
Anyone knows if/where you can order black hardware for the sadowsky (metro's)I have 2 metro basses but I like the black hardware a bit more ;-) and it would seem kinda stupid to buy an NYC just for the black hardware now wouldn't it?

Very nice! Don't you just love the way their burst looks like? Mine is a '59 burst and I think the burst is very, very nicely done! Looks like yours is '59 burst too (?)...

Yes, they're ahead on schedule! I placed my order on January 26th ... just four months ago. At that time I was given the usual 6-8 months wait but now it seems I'll have it after a total of 5 months!!!

Is it possible to purchase the black hardware separately after the fact if it's worth the additional cost to the customer?Sorry, we do not offer black hardware for the Metro Line.

Yeah, but at least the bridge isn't the Sadowsky bridge. That's a standard Hipshot B. Can't tell about the tuners, but Sadowsky may not have much or anything custom about those... dunno. My R5-24 has black hardware. The first owner added the black hardware. When I bought the bass, the black was on and he included the sliver hardware in the case.
There's a pic of the bass in post #153 of this thread.

Yep, despite some similarity, they are still different bridges.I just compared the silver and the black hardware.
The silver bridge does have different saddles but the area where the string go in look almost identical (except the black bridge has the slots in the top).
They could be, but nevertheless, if you want OEM hardware you'd have to get it from Sadowsky... if they choose to make it available.I'd be amazed if they both weren't made by the same company.
Ok, couldn't remember. Non-issue then. It's just a bridge thing. Both sets of tuners say Hipshot on them and they look identical.

I am making the assumption that the silver set of hardware is original.
