Club Sadowsky!!!

I especially dig that MIG! Did you get rid of the MIJ, and if so, why?
Yes, I sold the MIJ. It was a few factors - thinning the herd, focusing on 4 strings, time for a change, etc. I also sold my Ken Smith and Warwick Thumb 5 stringers around that time. The MIJ Sad was a great bass but I have to say the German sounds even better!

The German sounds rich and full. Chinese wasn’t too far behind.
Japan model was the least impressive. Sounds thin in comparison. A lot less sustaining notes.

I really like Japanese Sadowskys and own two, but I have to agree in this case.
I concur. One thing I should point out: the MIJ is an older video when I was using different outboard gear. It was a great sounding bass otherwise. But the German takes the prize sound-wise. That’s a good thing. It means Warwick is doing a great job of carrying on the Sadowsky brand.

From viewing your videos, this German Sadowsky is the best sounding of them all. It shines very well in recordings It wouldn't surprise me to hear you say that you dont really miss any of those fine basses. . Do you play to live at all?

I can honestly say I don’t miss anything I’ve sold. I let it go for a reason, whatever it was, and the gear I currently own is stellar. I seldom play live any more but I have brought the German Sadowsky to a couple of band practices and the band really noticed how well it fit in. Ditto for my Metro Express!

Anyone likes bourbon? Aka UV jazz NBD :)
