Club Sadowsky!!!

I am really happy to have gotten these two but think that any Sadowsky owner would feel the same about their purchase. You look at them on the site and just go DAMN! then, when they arrive, it's like DAMN DAMN DAMNNNN!!!! they ARE that good!

Don't regret it, just re-order another one the same :bassist:

I think the one you have is going to stay a one-of-a-kind. Quilts like that don't come along very often. Anyway, I'm sure it's found a good home, and at least it has a nice little four string friend to keep it company.

I think you might be right. The more I look at it, the bridge pickup seems in the standard 'Sadowsky 60's' position, but the neck pickup seems placed back from the neck a bit more than the standard J position (the 24 frets fooled my eye a bit). Interesting.

Hmmm that looks like something I'd considered asking the sadowsky crew about. The sound of the bass coil of a PJ across all 5 strings would definitely work for me. :bassist:

Now that I have a custom Sadowsky on order, I think I should stop visiting this thread. It's not helping, LOL.

a big +1 to Eaglemoon's comment on the blue fiver. That is one heckuva nice looking bass. I'm glad it's not a four-string, because I think the pickups + their location would make for a killer tone. I like the idea of bumping the neck pickup back a little toward the bridge.

GAS is a tough mistress, my friends. :help:

I believe around 2004 was the switchover. I think 2003 was a transitional year.

I just realized, I don't have a number... :(

Count me in to the club please.

Here's the bass that started it all for me. I've had her for about four years and this bass does it all. When I don't know exactly what I'll need on a gig, this is the bass that comes. It just works! It's now a reverse P.

  • Brazilian board
  • Alder body
  • Olympic white w/ matching headstock
