Club Sadowsky!!!

My guess is that you, to keep it simple, can choose to put the bridge PU in the 60s or 70s position. When going NYC, I think that almost everything is possible though. There have been basses with custom PU placement. I've even seen one on TB somewhere someday.
I read somewhere that having the j pup too close to the bridge is an undesireable tone - brighter.

I just did a show on Saturday, and with these two basses, I had pretty much every angle covered.

Hell, with just the one on the left I could cover about 90% of what I do.
Maybe more!

How is that Will Lee bass???

I want one SOOOOO bad! (but black with a black pickguard and morodo fingerboard)

strings - fret question,
As I patiently wait for the incredible set of blue steels to die (they're on my Metro for over 6 months and ring like bells, and this bass IS busy!) I started to wonder if string changing frequency has anything to do with fret wear.
What do you think?

I was toying with the idea of buying a NYC w/ebony fingerboard, but I don't really have a clue about Sadowsky sound (sorry, but in Italy is very difficult to find one)
Describing a sound is very difficult and very subjective, I know, but is there any way to define a generic Sadowsky sound ? I'd love to get some sound samples of the NYC if anyone has.
Is Sadowski a good bass for aggressive slap or should I reconsider changing instrument ?
Thanks a lot!

I can't imagine it matters. Strings don't get softer with age. :)
