Yeah, I'm seeing the demo pics with it standing up, I guess if it stands up or leans up pretty reliably it's not bad, just on some stages I like to lay stuff down, more out of sight, and having it lay flat would still be inconvenient by comparison.

Oh, and back OT, the only reason I'm talking double bags is 'cause I often love to bring two Sadowsky basses to the gig... the JJ and PJ, or the JJ and 24F. :D

Well, one thing I like is that if you go to access one bass, the other one is not going to slide out on accident (not that this is super likely to occur with other bags, but it's possible).

+1 That's a real weakness with the DUB, and one of my main reasons for selling it. When you first open it up, the top bass is kind of just sitting there, with very little 'case lip' to hold it in the case. And, heaven help you if you need the bottom bass 'first'. You literally have to take the top bass out first.

Again, if it works for you, it obviously works. But, for me, it was simply a terrible case on a variety of levels. I again think they are out of the business anyway, so I guess all is a moot point (not sure... you can dig down in their site with a search, and the bags still come up, but they aren't listed in the product pull downs. Who knows!).

Yeah, the dub I definitely lay flat for that reason. I've been able to deal with the bottom bass without removing the top, but it's definitely a hassle.

I love all this case stuff. It's amazing how many wonderful options there are, and how (regardless of your feature needs and brand choice) you can get most of the protection of a hard case in a relatively lightweight bag. Pretty cool.

OK... back to Sadowsky. Did I mention I have an orange one. It's cool. It gets loud and grindy. I likey likey:D:bassist:

You know, Ken, I really did like that bass from the little bit I was able to play it, unplugged. One of these days, I'd love to try that one out, proper! :cool:

I CALLED IT!

I just wish I'd previously shared it with someone so I could prove it. DOH! :D

I knew it the moment I heard something was gonna' land in yer hands. After checking one out at the NAMM show, I knew you'd have to have one. Still, you need a fiver too, so you ain't done yet... the B string is just... well... wow. :)

Some of these other bags sound good.

However, regardless of Ken's feelings on it, I absolutely LOVE my incase dub bag. I wouldn't trust my pride and joy to anything less.

I'm fairly sure I could throw it down a flight of stairs with my PJ and even my more fragile Reverends in it and everything would be just fine. Thus, I feel confident that even my clumsy bandmates can't damage my basses when they're in it.

For me, ironclad protection > weight concerns when it comes to my gear, and that's why I like my incase dub. YMMV.

I can't wait to put my Will Lee in it, but it will be several months before that happens.

For a single bag, I totally dig the Sadowsky, especially if you are going to put a Sadowsky in it... light, great quality, big pockets, good protection, and a nice extra pad on the bottom for the downsized J style bodies to really provide a lot of protection.

The Mono's are great also, and that would be my choice for either a nitro finished instrument or a full size jazz (which requires that you remove the extra padding from the Sadowksy bag.

IMO.
