Tonight: Mesa Walkabout+ LDS 2x12+2x6 as we host the local blues jam.
Should provide a more vintagey top end!
I expect a full report.

Nice to be part of the club. Ordered my NYC a few weeks ago...so now I just wait....
Anyone out there have a Hipshot D-Tuner installed on their bass?
These are new as of Sept 22.

Thoughts on getting this added to my bass now or just wait and add it later if it makes sense?
I never used one of these as I have been playing 5 strings for many years. Decided to order a 4 string for a few different reasons.
Thoughts???

Well, ok then.
It was the same club I took the RV5 out to for the first time last week.
It worked out about as I expected. The Mesa/2x12+2x6 provided a more vintage top end.
I ran the RV5 much as I did the other jobs I've used it on so far: bass+ a tad, treble + a tad; vintage tone dialed back a tad. Add a little more bass for the bridge pickup. Man, that bridge pickup barks!
I'm really liking how playing with a lighter touch on this bass does nothing to diminish how the notes jump out! It's very effortless like that.
