hey, you are the reason GASsed for a Sadowsky Metro :hiding:... Saw your post on the forums here in Singapore... I got to try the one like your MV4 in TY Music (my GAS station).... got this feeling of "i gotta have this" .... had insomnia for a week researching about the pros and cons of the Sadowsky Metro.

Then saw video on the link below in this forum:

I'm a few months away from my new Sadowsky being finished. The wait is OK, but when I get the news that it is almost ready, I'll be pretty anxious.

And I'm pretty sure I won't sleep much the night before the Fedex guy comes with it. :D

Hey folks, just thought I'd post a "heads up" here first, but I'm definitely gonna' put up for sale my fairly new (to me) NYC PJ5, and I'm very seriously considering putting my amazing NYC 24-Fret 5 up. Long story short, I'm going to be ordering a new Sadowsky to replace at least the PJ5, maybe both. Lemme know if someone wants first dibs before I put one/both up in the forsale thread. Fellow Sadowsky brethren get first shots at these. :) The PJ5 is about a 9.7/10 and the 24-Fret is still pretty much indiscernible from new. I even have the protective plastic things above the pickups.

Well, I got to use my new Sadowsky NYC on a gig Saturday night with my 2nd band. I played my Spector NS4 (buckeye/walnut) for half the set (where I was handling lead vocals + 2 instrumentals) then switched to the Sadowsky when our singer/2nd guitarist got there (long story with a double booking - glitch with google calendar and iCal). Anyway, both basses smoked and the Sadowsky was great. I had just a hint of bass boosted and used the VTC for certain songs that called for it (such as Johnny Cash and Son Volt). It was just great, and the VTC is such a great feature IMO. I don't like to fiddle with a bass much, so it is perfect to just dial it back a bit for more vintage tones.

To top it all off, great crowd north of 100, $1000 raised for Ronald McDonald House and fun show (our drummer's band from the 80's did a reunion show - think skinny ties and ska flavored pop/rock). Our band does New Orleans, Americana, originals, etc. The beauty was the crowd really liked it despite being there for something very different. All in all, great for our 2nd show!

I'll have to post some pics of the Sadowsky on stage when I get home tonight.

just got my sadowsky uv70!

haven't had a chance to plug it into my rig yet, but it feels great and its definitely lighter than my modulus quantum 5 which is exciting.

quick question:
have any of you guys added a shim in your neck pocket? i was surprised at high the string height was when I took it out of the case for the first time. The saddle for the G string was already bottomed out, and its almost twice the height at which I like my G to be. the relief in the neck is just fine, nut is cut just fine, just a classic case of the G string saddle bottoming out.

Ok, so here's what I'm gonna' do... I'm gonna' take pics of any imperfections I can find on the PJ. As you can imagine, I'm getting a FLOW of PM's, but the PJ is the only one that's not in pretty much new condition, so what I'll do is put all you PM'ers in line according to time of receipt, and if it comes to an ad in the forsale forum, you guys are already ahead of anyone PM'ing from there for first refusal.
