Club Sadowsky!!!

Here is my Sadowsky out for its first gig (at least with me)!

Hey folks, just thought I'd post a "heads up" here first, but I'm definitely gonna' put up for sale my fairly new (to me) NYC PJ5, and I'm very seriously considering putting my amazing NYC 24-Fret 5 up. Long story short, I'm going to be ordering a new Sadowsky to replace at least the PJ5, maybe both. Lemme know if someone wants first dibs before I put one/both up in the forsale thread. Fellow Sadowsky brethren get first shots at these. :) The PJ5 is about a 9.7/10 and the 24-Fret is still pretty much indiscernible from new. I even have the protective plastic things above the pickups.

Whoa is right. Whaddya ordering Vic? Come on, spill.

Questions answered in this new ad post for the PJ... don't wanna' misuse the forums. Remember, folks that PM'd me from here, already have first refusal in the order they PM'd, just for being a Sadowsky Club thread participant. :)

Don't want anyone to violate the CUP, so who here has ordered/has a Will Lee and about how much $$??
I may be calling the shop tomorrow to ask!

Man I want one BAD!!!!!

This, but with a straight black pick-guard:

Or that candy orange color, matching headstock, white pearl-oid pick guard and morado board...WHEW!!! That would be HOT!

I saw your question in another sub-forum. Try changing your strings first. It could be a bad string.

went ahead and shimmed the neck pocket with a folded index card. worked perfect!

i was really impressed by how clean the neck pocket was. No overspray/paint in the actual pocket, and it was incredibly smooth. felt kinda bad putting a shim in there, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

here's my band The Fried Crawdaddies on the local cable channel. most of the material is original.
http://www.viddler.com/explore/cattv/videos/42/
signal path was sadowsky>walkabout>di out to the board.
speaker was lds 2x8+horn, but, was not mic'd.
we taped two songs before the live telecast; heard them back. the only "playback monitor" they had was the hd big screen in the control room. the bass seemed to be present in the mix.
to my surprise, when I tore down, the di on the walkabout was dang near off. i usually feed the board 9-10 oclock.
so, i don't think the bass sound is as great as it could be.

walkabout was at my normal settings:
50 hz trimmed a tad, mids a little past noon, the rest flat.
as per my sadowsky norm, vtc was shut some, bass and treble were + a tad; blend varied by song.

Wow dude... NICE demo of a lot of the different sounds you can get by just altering blend, tone, and hand position. Isn't It Funny really does a nice upright type of sound, and then Touch Me had a really cool bridgey almost fretless tone, and the straight up electric bass tones on the other cuts are just great. Dude, sell all your other basses. There's only one other bass you need, and you know what it is. :)
