Club Sadowsky!!!

I agree 100%.
Let the record show that I also generally prefer the SC's, but I do think the HC's sound very nice as well.

Also, I'm pretty sure I've read where Roger has also said he prefers the SC pickups, and I think they used to be the default until it came to pass that more people were asking to have HC's installed than were buying the basses with SC's in them.

FWIW, anyhoo... :)

Hi Vic,

Not quite right. I do think that single coils are the benchmark against which all humcancelling pickups need to be measured. But for 20 years, 90% of my customers have chosen the HC pickups. The difference is only really obvious if you are listening for it and have the opportunity to do an A-B listening test. Most people prefer to not deal with the hum issues of single coils. A few months ago we made a tweak to our HC design and discovered that the 500K volume got us closer to the singles than I ever hoped to get. That is why I am encouraging people to try it.

Roger

I have just added our 500K pot to our online store:

If we can send it by first class mail, we will refund any additional postage that the shopping cart charges. Just request "First Class Mail" in the notes box.

Perfect! BRILLIANT! :)

Cool, and for the record, I would also typically be an HC person because I play some pretty rude venues, BUT, I've found your SC installs are so well shielded and made, I've found I can really get by with it most times since I rarely need to more than somewhat pan one way or the other, still maintaining "decent" humbucking.

Anyway, thanks for the clarification, and I just got some o doze pots on the way. I can't wait to plug one in. I think they're higher quality than I have on hand right now, so I'll wait until yours come in.

So, it's on the truck, but FedEx decided not to even *attempt* to deliver to my place of employment today. :spit: So I gotta wait until Monday for my new baby. :bawl:

It's a sick bass in all ways:

It's a honey of a bass, the bee knees, great for Sting covers, no fret buzz

Dressed like that, don't you *want* fret buzz??

Thanks for the additional pix, and the laugh!

OH MY GOSH!!!!

I just finally plugged this bad boy in, and yeah, the plugged tone is even better than the unplugged tone, which was hard to imagine. Wow. This is SO TOTALLY my sound for a Sadowsky.

Again, if you'll pardon my gush/repost...
