Again, depends on the rig and tone. I still chuckle over Nino feeling the same way, and then when I heard his clips (which smoke in their own way), he was playing out of a totally overdriven Aguilar DB359 and a DB cab

The 359 at LDS could be made to sound like a buzzsaw when the input gain was cranked. Not my thing, but Nino made that thing snarl. Not sure if he was using anything in front of it though.

All overdrive sounds bad to me, so I'm not the one to judge that one! It broke up like crazy though when pushed, although I agree that amp seemed to be designed more for low volume clean tones.
I thought the tone Nino got with his Sadowsky and that rig was cool though... snarly and grindy to my ear... just a different context than the stuff I do. Maybe he can point us to those clips again... it's been a while.

Cool clips. I remember the Ag rig grinding even more. It's surely not me, but I dig it!!!! Good to see these again! Makes my clips sound like Susie Cream Cheese runner ups.

FWIW, in my short time here i've found that it's best to not question anyone else's opinion on the board openly. It's like capping on somebody's momma during a bball game or something...
It sounds stupid, i know, but there are some on the board who really do wake up on the wrong side of the bed every day (lol), or at least sometimes. For their sake, be careful.
That is unless you like the heated discussions lol I take my anger out on the moderators, who are quick to deal out infractions, and then i stay off for a day or so and cool off..
