I don't know what the question was...But...
-4 String Single coils = Gloss Black covers.
-4 String Hum Cancelling = Flat Black/matte covers.
-5 String Single coils = Sand Blasted matte covers.
-5 string Hum Cancelling = Flat Black/matte covers.

I have a standard NYC 4. Ash body, natural finish with a maple FB. She's my #1 player - and I own quite a few basses. I also have an M5-24; Black & Maple. They do a terrific job on the finishes on these basses IMHO. Unfortunately the five doesn't get played much. It's very nice, but in retropect I probably should have gone for one with jazz type pickups. Strictly personal preference - the bass is terrific.

Man, that was really great of Roger to take some time away from reading TalkBass.com to hold your bass for this photo.
Now I want to get a Sadowsky, just so I can have them send me a pic of Roger holding it. The GAS for a Metro RV4 keeps growing. I need I need, I want I want!!

I'm just curious: Do I qualify for membership, or am I banned from talkbass forever? And you know, if I'm banned is it because I play a six string "short scale" Sadowsky, or because I have a tendency to use a pick?

I need to get my Modern back and take pic of all 8 Sads in the sun but for now I snapped a pic of the Sadowsky SA full stack and 4 Sadowsky instruments.
It counts. I said so! I have four of those short scale octave six string basses myself!

Just got my new, white pickguard from Roger and the boys the Sadwosky shop today 
. Thanks guys, it fits just fine, despite the warnings on the website .
It's actually damn near impossible to see the difference between the old and the new one in these pics (although in reality there is a big difference). Basically it had a "mint" guard on when I got it, whereas all of my other non-black pickguard basses have white (or creamy white) guards on
. This made the MV4 stand out a bit, but not in a good way, IMO 
. So, I changed it for a white one.
Here's the old "mint" p/g:
And here's the new white p/g:
I now expect to see a flood of posts from people who preferred the mint one. Never mind, at least this trivial little post has brought this fine thread back to the first page of the BASS GUITARS forum - where it belongs
