Club Sadowsky!!!

i still offer the Mooradian bag for those who want a light gig bag

Ok, maybe I overspoke, 'cause I admit that bag is not lame-o, but, that said, I still much prefer the added protection the Portabag offers. It's currently my favorite carrying accessory. ;) :D

I just had to share....Los Angeles area just doesn't get snow that much. Well, today after the rain and clouds cleared up, this is what you can see on the mountains above LA.

There are more (12 total) individual close ups of the entire range here:
Note pic 2 and pic 4 show the Hollywood sign, griffith observatory and downtown Los Angeles

Thanks for sharing. I've seen that once before, I think in 1994.
I'm in Oregon and that's how it looks around here. But here its normal.

I may have to get me one of those Portabags. I've tried a few other brands and I just don't like 'em.

Decision made. I'm all about the look of 59' burst over quilt with Tortoise.

Here's the fingerboard also. Should be sweet!

Rob is making this one for me - so I know it will be killer!

GAH! Quick! While there's still time! Send it back! Look at how screwed up the grain is!!!! ;) :D

Oh, and good call on the burst/quilt/tort. MAN I love that classic look!!

My "new" Metro MS5 come in yesterday and I got about 20 minutes on it last night. It was on consignment at the shop. Looks like its barely been played and even has the Made in Japan sticker on the control cavity. Natural ash/maple.

Got a little Tascam time and LMII/Epi PS112 (first generation) time on it today while practicing a couple new tunes for tomorrow.

I uh, I uh, uh Dude!!!

All that stuff you guys and gals said is dern true. Comfy, meticulously made, nice killer low action, smoking tone... I mean the thing almost plays itself. Just awesome.

I knew it was gonna be what I was looking for after listening to clips here. I'm digging the HCs and won't be looking to change them out anytime soon.

Been trying to get a little time on it b/t chores around the house. Can't wait to play it tomorrow. To me, it sounds great at home solo - guess its gonna slay tomorrow.

HI

Guess you can say Im an honest man. Huh, Jesse? LOL. Enjoy that bass. Its def a keeper. Great metro

Rob

Rob, never a more honest man has ever been born!!! ;)

You were right on about the condition and playability of this bass. After you checked it out for me and gave me a call (forever grateful BTW!!), I just had to make it happen.

I have a separate bank account for gear money and it wasn't all there when we talked. But I talked to my wife the same night and she gave me the green light to borrow from the general fund. She has heard me go on and on about Sadowsky this and that, so she was down with it. I texted Kevin the same night something like "I gotta have that bass."

I sold my JO5 a Squier and some other gear, so now the general fund has been paid back and I'm stoked with an awesome Metro Standard.

Well if you love it so much, why don't you....

Looks like a happy camper here.:bassist: Great action shot there.:eyebrow: It's even more fun plugged into an old ungrounded amp in bare feet.

Congrats on that one. I must have looked at that 100 times trying to decide, but it was a bit out of my price range. Along came a MV5 that I had passed on once before, so I grabbed it. I love the look of that standard!!!!!

Awesome bass - that's great you were able to make it happen. Cool wives are the best!

Enjoy!

Hey, Jerry... I'd guess you like Jmain's new Metro (great looking bass by the way) ... looks an awful lot like a certain M5-24 that's on it's way to my place. Can't wait for it to get here.
