Definitely sound great and easy wearing over the top of the ears. The whatchamacallit that tightens them to the back of my skull moves a bit and have to keep readjusting, but totally dig the Westones. However, I will be getting the shorter comply tips. I've had a few issues where I pinched the tips too much and couldn't hear anything. This morning I did it and couldn't hear anything in my left ear. Had to keep making funny faces to get it to loosen.

But yeah, the Metro Standard is a sweet axe!

Anyone ever instal a pick guard on their 'un-pick-guarded' Sadowsky?

It's unlikely I'll want to take it off but before drilling holes in my 14 year old Sad. I wondered if it'd be worth considering a special adhesive I could use to put it on with to test it, without wrecking the finish, and allow for future removal. Bad idea?

Also, I know Fenders won't fit, but do all Roger's basses measure the same at the heel?

I know, these questions are really for Roger, but it's late and here I am.

I haven't tried it, but try some "blue tack" the stuff that kids put posters on walls.

NO, not these guys here. lol Although, they're eatin' up the website!

I should post pics of my new RV4HPJ trans white Sadowsky Metro and get a membership, but I'm not photogenic, and be able to keep up with these guys.

I'll talk to my photographer.

I had a set, and i had many issues.. i went with the westones eventually .. and it was a world of difference in a good way.. i got ES2.. I didnt need a triple driver. I use the westones on gigs and Ipod.
What i like about them is the ends are soft and make much better seal than the solid plastic of others.
Also when you go to get the molds done. open you mouth as far as you can while the goo drys.. you wont be sorry in the end. you will have a tighter fit with better seal.

Molds already done, LW's paid for, so maybe I'm screwed if they're really that bad, but we'll see. He did tell me to open my mouth, but didn't tell me to hold it, so maybe I'm screwed there too. We'll see, I guess. :hmm: I figure for 329, kinda' hard to go wrong tho... including the molds, shipping, everything.

Its not that they are bad... i just hope that they deliver as said.. but you being with BG mag will really help your chances of on time delivery.. There is a hi fi forum with folks promised a 21 day delivery and 6 months later still no word or returned emails. Mr Diles has some serious CS issues from what i have experienced and read.
But being with BG Mag will boost your CS 1000%...its the civilians out there that are beening hosed... I have NO axe to grind mind you.. in just trying to look out for my bass brothers and their money.
and Mr Diles could certain learn alot form Roger when it comes to good CS.. And if he took lessons from Roger he may be able to turn his business around.

Thanks. I'll keep my eye out for issues, but I don't think my BGM status will help me at all on something like this no matter what happens. However, I might know someone who knows him, so if it comes to it, I might be able to call in a favor with them if things turn south on me.

Totally loving this bass. Question for you guys:

How do they do the black blocks and bindings, is it painted or inlayed? What material is used.

The gap between the g string and the pickguard seems to be a few millimeters larger then on my other basses. Is that a spec on this particular model?
