Club Sadowsky!!!

The HS210 is not going to give you the volume of two DB112's (no 210 will). It will sound great though, but you will lose some volume and low end IMO and IME.

Thanks for your reply, it really helped me with the decision.

That's what i suspected, less volume (that's ok, i've never used more than 12 o'clock with the aggies) and less low end, after all it's 2x12" vs 2x10"... my idea is, if i miss the low end i'll buy an HT112ER later on to use on bigger venues...

FYI I've just posted some clips on my band's myspace that showcase my Metro PJ5 (ash/maple), live and recorded through a Zoom Q3. I was using old D'Addario XL's, and the sound you hear is my bass going through the DI of my Aguilar DB750, and through the mains at the club. Fairly good representation of my live sound, and just how great these basses sit in a mix.

Nice! Fat and round and warm. I dig it (even if I didn't like that metal guard:D). Nice playing too... nice to hear bass sometime... solid and supportive!

I'm new to the Sadowsky experience and had a couple of questions if you guys don't mind fielding them. I'm in the market for a modern sounding, soapbar equipped, 5-string. KJung recommended I look into the Sadowsky's and I like what I have been reading and hearing.

I've about narrowed it down to the R5-24 and M5-24 but unsure between the two. Would you mind helping me suss out the differences in the two. If there are clips anywhere, I'd love to hear them. Thanks in advance.

Thanks!!! And to be clear, that was actually my Metro MV5PJ, not my new NYC. Believe it or not, the NYC has a more open, livelier sound that is also, again to MY ears, clearer down low. Best of both worlds. In fact, my favorite thing about Roger's basses are that they equally represent to divergent schools of bass tone in the same instrument: big fat and vintage and bright zingy and modern. Often times at the switch of the VTC. Dig it!!!! I"ll post some more that showcase some more familiar tunes. The ones I posted were originals.

Wow, that looks great! Is that 5484 with a different guard on it, or just another one that looks similar? Specs?

That's the one, Kevin was good enough to arrange to have the pickguard changed before shipping, I'm not big on white pickguards. But I would have bought the bass anyway! Got a busy weekend starting tonight, can't wait to put it (and me) to work! Any helpful hints on the VTC other than what's already been written here? I'll probably fumble with the controls for a while!

Not really. Just experiment and enjoy. Make sure to do a full report here, though. :)

Be prepared for the bottom on that bass though, if it's anything like Saluki's candy orange one (also a chambered alder body and maple neck) it's gonna' be BIG and RICH.

Wow, I've held some nice basses in my time but this thing is gorgeous. Must be a couple pounds lighter than my other basses. Nice packing job, great case candy, etc. And The gig bag/soft case looks terrific. Well, have to get back to work, I'll post a couple pictures tomorrow. I'm very impressed so far!
