Yeah, the get it home alone in the bedroom playing it and it's like :hmm:. It's cool and all. But did I just spend THAT much money on "cool"......

Then they take it to the gig and it's like HOLY MICHAEL MANRING ON A GOAT!!!!!!!!!!!!:eek::eek::eek:
THAT'S why I spent the money on it!!!!!

I saw that too, but I'm just old fashsioned enough to want a 1.75" neck.....maybe if I get one ordered now I can have it for NEXT season! MMMM, let's see, LPB body with matching headstock, ebony board, vintage pearl pickguard....you getting this Roger?

It's the first Sadowsky I've ever laid hands on. Definitely lives up to the hype and the price.

I love the rounded fingerboard edges and the unrestricted access to the 24th fret!

As soon as I started playing it unplugged I knew. The thing just resonates and rings. The great preamp is just icing on the cake.

I remember years ago seeing the price of one of these without knowing anything about them and thinking, that much money for a bolt-on???

Now I'm thinking when can I get another one!

Tonight will be my third weekend of gigs with it. I can't remember ever being this excited to go to that dump and play! And it's because of this bass!

The porta[DEL]case[/DEL] err, portabag is a great design too.

I couldn't be more thrilled!!!

Congrats on the bass. I was very tempted myself when that popped up. Doesn't hurt that it's gorgeous too. :)

Hello all,

I have wanted a Sadowsty bass since I first picked up the instrument at the tender age of 11... I'm now 24, and I'm ready to pull the trigger on one...

I put a Metro RV5 on layaway... but I've been curious as to how different the new PJ 5 (Jazz style body) deals are from the JJ's. I'm huge into Jamerson and Babbitt, and I like the idea of a PJ...

Is there that much of a difference between the PJ and JJ that I should save the extra $400? I'm in Brooklyn, but Sadowsky's shop is still an hour + trek from me, and I've been putting in more time at work to be able to pay for this thing... thoughts?

I think it'd be well worth the time to go to the shop and play them both. Otherwise you'll always wonder.

These things are like Crack anyway - you'll probably wind up with both eventually :D

This is very true, I will most likely end up w. both in time (just don't tell my girlfriend that lol), but I suppose my question is:

If you play a wide range of music -- all different styles -- and you can probably only buy one instrument for quite sometime, is it worth it to wait the extra 3 or so weeks to get the PJ, or is the JJ enough like it not to make that much of a difference?

PS - I'm already $500 over my real budget
