Congrats!

I think I like the simplicity of the white guard against the quilt, but check out the "sold basses" page and you can get an idea of how your bass might look with a different pickguard.

I was thinking about black. but it might look too dark. There arent any on the Sadowsky site with Black and rosewood board (it does make a diff). At first, the tort guard looks a little wierd, but it does keep the "reddish" hue thing going.

Ash / Maple but mine has the Quilt top without the scratchgaurd / control plate... do it, you will not regret it! That black bass is AMAZING!!!!

Just a couple of suggestions

The white pearl looks killer. I'll bet it would really "Pop" under stage lights.

That Tort is more of the brown variety. I think I would prefer the more red tort in order to choose. But in direct comparison, I like the white pearloid better than the white parchment pickguard.

I like the black probably least of all. I like the pearl, because the pattern matches the quilt in the body. But I also like both of the tortoiseshells. Hard choice! Can you take the pickguard off? With a nice body like that, it might look nice as well.

I thought about that also, but I dont like clear guards or empty screw holes....I agree the pearl does look killer and the red tort. howz about purple swirl with yellow and pink? too much??

You might want to consider a wooden (rosewood maybe) guard. I used to own a Stingray which I fitted with one, very uniqe.

Wow! My favorites, in this order, are the red tort, the brown tort, then the white pearl. I don't care for the black with the quilt, although I like black on "normal" Fender sunbursts. That is a stunning bass!

You might want to consider a wooden (rosewood maybe) guard. I used to own a Stingray which I fitted with one, very uniqe.

That might be tough since I'm not exactly sure what's under the pickguard as far as the way the body looks. I'll see if I can give it a go.

This is my new favorite idea. The only problem is, part of the reason I like it is because of that border around the edge, which would be kinda' tough to reproduce in real life.
