Oh yeah! Just sayin'...
It's like a whole new bass. The sizzle is stronger, the tone is more focused, my gosh, the B string came out of the shadows big time. Major improvement IMHO.

DANG! What, did they get like only 5 sets in total or something?Looks like SC's are out of stock again. A day late, as usual.

MV5 4168 was supposed to be delivered today, but has been mysteriously stuck in Ohio for 2 days. Tracking shows tomorrow, but that's changed at least once in transit.
Fedex...![]()
I guess they're expecting more at the end of august.DANG! What, did they get like only 5 sets in total or something?![]()
Well. Jeez.
That's disappointing.
I was maybe gonna order another set for my RV5.
On the plus side; so far MV5 #4168 and I seem to be getting along pretty well so far.
The first job I have for it is tuesday next week, but twiddling at home is encouraging.
I'll most likely receive the NJ5S's Monday.Well maybe Vic will have some interesting results with the NJ5S or as pickles and smeet have said the NJ5 work really well, too.

I like those lots better than the older set. Was just playing my Metro PJ5 last night and it just kills.Woo Hoo! Never thought I would make THIS ebay score!!! (You may have to scroll down a bit)
Looks like the PJ is getting a little bit of a make over!!!!

I am hoping the Norstrands are a little more aggressive sounding that the current pickups. I like the bass a lot, but I would love it to have a litter more bite.
I was on the fence about swapping, but the fact that I actually scored some with the Sadowsky covers on them for a lot less than I would have had to pay for new ones sealed the deal for me.
I wish I wasn't such a hack with a soldering iron. I don't mind paying someone, but I hate the idea of leaving my bass somewhere that I am not. I can just imagine the number of someones in the local shop that have the "Look! It's a Sadowsky!" moment. I makes my stomach hurt a little.
Nah, I've got two of Saluki's basses right now... gotta' fence those before I take on more "inventory".Hey maybe since Vic has been supposedly hanging around to snag Chef's new bass...

Ash/morado NYC JJ5 with a figured maple top, took out the HC's, put in SC's and the 500K pot. Basically, really added focus and presence to the tone.I've lost track here...
What is the change that made this improvement?

Congratulations Pablo! That is so great to see w/ the PG laid on. It's gonna be a winner !
