Club Sadowsky!!!

Nope, she's too sweet. I sold some recording gear and booteek OD pedals that I didn't utilize enough to keep.
And adult images of my g/f were emailed to the guys at the shop.

Good for you. hard to part w/ a classic. But I think the guys at the shop would have settled for this one

Wanted to say thanks to Vic and Roger for their suggestions.

Had my local luthier change my volume pot to the 500k pot and I installed sadowsky blue label strings. I have played the bass in a couple of live settings and it sounds very crisp and clear.

I can really hear the difference in the 500k pot and the strings.

Thanks guys.

That's a sweet piece of ash with some nice flame. I like it.

Sorry to take the thread back to page 34, but this exchange on PJ PUPs has me wondering about a couple things...

Correct, and the updated version is done and shipping. It's just gonna' take maybe a little bit of time for various dealer stocks to rollover (if it hasn't already). The "issue" IS minor, and depends on where you play, so I'm guessing most folks won't even notice it much, making it more of an enhancement moving forward than something anyone really has to deal with. I was on the front end of this one personally, so that's how I know. :)

FYI.

Was this an NYC thing or Metro also? If Metro, do we know roughly at about what Metro S/N this update might have happened on the 5 string PJs? Have my eye on one and wondering if it is pre- or post- change.

thx!

Both. They use the same pickups. A couple things. First, it's only on the 5 string model, and second, it's not a big deal. I wouldn't worry about it if I were you. If you see one you like at a site and you have the money, just buy the bass.

Plus one. It's a minor issue. If you see a PJ5 that you like, grab it -- you won't regret it.
