That is absolutely gorgeous! :hyper:

Besides, you're gonna' do some SERIOUS damage here when you finally get yours. Just sayin'... :)

Yeah, Mike's 5er is gonna be nice!! He got his blocks ordered just in time!!
Ash/Maple/59 Burst/Figured Top/Blocks = Killer! :bassist:

Plus, his new rig is totally gonna rock too! :D Now, Im just sayin'

Thanks. I can't do anything until someone buys my M5-24 anyway. Times are tough I guess. This is a great bass that is just sitting in the case waiting to be shipped.
No worries. I currently have no plans, and to be honest, I don't know when or if I would. About the only thing that would drive that is the desire to get something fancier like Sok Monkee's NYC, which I'd flip my Metro to partially cover. Again tho, not currently planned. :)

I know. Just hassling you a bit. Honestly, I am so confused as to what I want to play and how I want to sound these days I am about ready to just hang it up.

Dude. Take a nap, drink a beer, or whatever, and get over it. Don't let yourself get so frustrated over gear. Remember where most of your tone REALLY comes from... your fingers. :)

I'm SURE that M5-24 you're trying to sell doesn't exactly "suck", even though you know it's not the end game, so I'm figuring you're not exactly "suffering" while you do search for your match. I'm betting you just need to get yourself into some kind of ash/maple J bass and you'll be happy. I would recommend you at least temporarily suspend your 24 fret requirement, however, and just get the next great looking MV5 that comes along, while you eventually watch for a 24 fret version to show up. I'm pretty sure that's the order in which they'll show up in your search, and no reason to just "do without" because you can't find a 24 fret model in the near term.

IMHO! :)

Nice! I don't recall over seeing Roger use ziricote. Is the body ash or alder? And is that ebony on the fb?

(I'm still new to posting on TB, so I'm learning the ropes with regard to replying with quotes :-) I'll eventually get the sig setup, too.

The body is ash and yes, the fb is ebony. There's another model (5-string) that is right-handed, which is very similar to this one (I think the # is 5455, from what I remember). I should've got a 5-string, but will have to wait until the next one.

4 Strings are making a strong comeback. I would not sweat it. It's a great bass
