If it only had a 1 7/8" nut.
I think one of the major things that defines the Will Lee is the thinner nut dimension on both the 4 and it seems the 5 (along with the mid boost thing).

Definitely a legitimate question. I might even take it a step farther and suggest that both PGs are fitted and provided with the bass, even if it means tacking a few bucks on to the cost. If you are going to drop over $4K for a bass, what's $50?
That said, I think it is VERY likely that most owners are going to end up with preference of one or the other, and it is not going to to get swapped out much.
I'm sure most of you have seen this, but just in case:
Absolute home run for my taste. Mid boost and 1 3/4 (right?) nut sounds juuuust right. That looks like a perfect 5'er to me.

That's cool about the Paulownia. I know Guitar Mill has been selling bodies in that wood for some time. I'd never heard of it until I saw it on a Peavey Grind.
I contacted the shop about Paulownia. They said it is pretty lightweight, very resonant, and is pretty similar to alder tonally. Pretty interesting. I've never heard of it before.

Anyway if i were to request for a change in guard before my purchase will i have to pay the full price of the additional one? assuming i do not want the original one that comes with it.

To my understanding.. You have to pay for the extra pickguard no matter how you don't want the original one.
