I gotta give you credit. That is a GREAT looking (and of course sounding) bass, but then your being into some of those DuCo colors too... I must say I'm kinda' warming up to those... not good... :)

LOL, thanks!! They went real dark on the vintage tint too. Blends in nicely with the color of the bass.
Alex built this one. Robert did the once over and added a D-Tuner. An absolute joy to play. Sounds great too!!

I'm just being a bit silly. Every once in a while, a player who is seeing that bass for the first time on a gig will just stare at it, and then look at me and say in a soft voice 'wow, that's an orange bass':D Kind of stuns them a bit, like being hit on the side of the head with one of those plastic jumbo bats from Walgreens.

Yeah, I get it, but man, it really is a cool look, and the sound... well... it's THE reason I have the below bass, as many folks know. Mine is not much to look at really compared to most of the other stuff posted here (which one of the things I actually dig about it), but the sound... oh man...

The one on the left looks like the twin of the RV4 I took off your hands. I'm enjoying your RV4 more than ever. I too, replaced the HC's w/ Sad SC's and feel she's a keeper! :)

Thanks! What was I thinking when I let that RV4 go? I have never met a Sadowsky that I was glad to have sold!!

I love Natural, Burst, and orange Sadowsky Basses. There have been some amazing basses posted lately. Remember Saluki's Orange Sadowsky Vintage J5? I loved the look of that Bass. If it had an Ash body and not Alder I would have bought it and dropped a set of SCs in there and been very happy with it.
