Club Sadowsky!!!

Ok. I just have to say that i love my Metro MS-5! I've had it for an year now, and it have become my #1 bass! I've had many basses, but none of them play or sound this good! Some weeks ago our school had a little project with audiovisual students from another school, and we recorded live video of song "new york state of mind"... I just got the video and DAMN does my sadowsky sound great on that one! You can see that video here:

Thats just pure sadowsky sound thru DI box, nothing else! I love it!
VERY nice!!

So, I just saw that the Will Lee model is vailable in 5 string now. Can someone give me a run down on the Will Lee custom preamp? I read it has a mid control. Is is a true mid control or some kind of a "Sadowsky" version of mid control? really interested to know.

Thanks.

I don't think the preamp is any different. The mid unit is a supplemental module.

What exactly would be a "true" mid control verses a Sadowsky mid control?

"Is that a real poncho, or a Sears poncho?"

OK, how long until a 24f PJ5 with the Will Lee pre-amp Metro???

Just sayin'.....;)

Hey..wait a sec.......if you look closely at the pic, there is a little switch in the same spot as the switch from the Will Lee model.........
Is the WL pre gonna be available in non-WL basses????

Boost only switch that can be set to a couple different frequencies (500 and 800) and a couple of different Q's (width of the boost). So, the amount of boost is fixed, but the nature of the mids are variable... lower or higher frequency, and a more narrow or fatter distribution of freq's around those center points. Pretty nice.

Hey guys, I've been looking to take the plunge into the Sadowsky world for a while and recently saw this listing on Ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Sadowsky-4-string-bass-guitar-/180582835900?pt=Guitar&hash=item2a0b9366bc

Does this seem like a good deal in your collective experience? Your thoughts are much appreciated!

Chris

I wouldn't call it a "good" deal by any means. With the battle scars shown, I would say $2,500 is probably around the top of the normal market for that four string.

If you really want it, it's not unfair. But, you asked if it was "good" deal.
