The guitar for Alejandro Sanz was actually a gift from Juan Luis Guerra. Juan Luis ordered the guitar as a gift to thank Alejandro for participating in his Haiti benefit concert in Santo Domingo last April. I shipped it right around the time of the Latin Grammys, so there is a good chance he has not seen the guitar yet.

Okay, so sometimes in life you make bad decisions and don't have a way to fix them... well... I made a bad decision a few months ago and got rid of my UV70 (needed some new gear)... 
Well... I was able to trade a current bass and get a UV70 back!!! I am soo freaking excited. Anyway, here is a pic.

Cool. Maple fretless to boot!
Do you think it picked up that warmer, yellow/amber mojo later or was born that way? The Sadowsky is distinctly more brownish than this.

Ran across this Metro at the Bass Central site. I know it is not a sexy top or crazy grain, but I thought it was very unique, and I like it very much. An alder bass with a ROSEWOODfb in natural. I'm digging it. You don't see a lot of natural alder.
I love the look of natural alder and I don't mind if it shows almost no grain. I'd love a 4 string version of this. Even better if it were 'vintiquitified'

Very nice!
I like this one too. I normally lean toward the offset waist of the J body, but I think I kind of like the additional PG material on the face with the natural alder.
I'd have a hard time choosing between the two. Of course we all know well that "both" is the preferable answer.

You are right. I just read from Roger that it is a new 4 string Soap Bar pickup cover. The sleeker design looks better!

Sorry Im keeping your old baby M814. I just couldnt part with it. That Bass just begs to be slapped and has all that MOJO. By the looks of that PG it has been slapped and popped a million times. And the SCs just kill in that Bass. I am love with my new NYC but I realize that is a great Bass also. I will promise if I ever decide to get rid of it you will have first chance.
