Club Sadowsky!!!

Sounds good! My appreciation of "Everything Must Go" keeps getting better with time. I really like Green Book and Godwhaker, they are my faves!

Anyway, it was in a medium size upscale club. It was also my first gig with the Metro Will Lee. It was great. I can tell you that a few songs in, the thought of playing that Fender Precision neck on my other bass was not appealing at all. Plus, the tonal flexibility of the Will Lee is just great. Useable boost, the VTC (which I love in my other band but didn't really use last night), and the mid boost really shined on a few songs where I needed the bass to cut through a bit more aggresively.

Chef, you talked me into the Walkabout and I can't thank you enough!! It is exactly what I was looking for. It really sounds good with the GK's (and I bet it sounds great with those Aggie DB112's as well). The portability was just awesome as we all know some load in/outs are "challenging" to say the least. Last night I went in through the elevator, but we loaded out down the service staircase. I was so thankful to have those super light cabs. Once with each cab, once with my pedal board and head, and once with my double gig bag. Plus, all my gear in the trunk and basses in the back seat.

You know, I've goofed around with my Sad's passive, but not tried live or with a band yet.

You know, the Walkabout saved me on this front. When I had them with my MB500, I wasn't happy with my rig at all. I plugged the WA in and was immediately happy!

This guitar was built for Juan Luis Guerra. He wanted the colors of the Dominican Flag.....I purchased a hi-res photo of a waving DR flag off the internet and it was made into a vinyl transfer by Scary Productions in LA.

I was able to bring my four year old out to her first Hippie Campfire show tonight. A perfect storm... She had a long afternoon nap, a fundraiser and an early set.

We stuffed her ears with cotton and she had a blast!

Oh yeah, my Sad was fabulous as always!

My wife took a couple of video clips with her iPhone and munchin' is groovin' in time with the band. Very cool indeed.

There were quite a few children on hand as the show was a benefit to create a trust fund for the daughter of a good friend. Our friend passed away in September... He was a local player and worked in music retail for many years. His 12 year old daughter even got up on stage and played a few of her own songs.

An in all, a great night for everyone.
