That cocobolo is just beautiful. Not my first choice on a Sadowsky, but still gorgeous. That's it, I need an Alembic. :) :hiding:

Well, if Roger said all members as of today got a bass of their choice for $300, it may be the second best, but thus far, IMO it's the best!

I guess I can support the pr0n movement here... my "set". Still totally diggin' all of them for what they do. Might be making an adjustment next year, but if so, it won't change the count. Just sayin'... :)

Here is mine with my other main bass. Metro M5-24 in vintage tint alongside a 2004 New Standard Cleveland. I'm starting to feel the same way towards the Metro that I do the NS-the better I get, the more sounds I find inside of it.

Every pay day (gig and/or day job pay day), I have to talk myself out of putting a deposit down on another bass. I know that I will, but I'm too undecided between three different general models (Metro PJ5, Metro V5-24, NYC Fretless 5 something), let alone the exact specs...and I need to get some bills paid down (student loans). The fretless is what I could use the most, but I'm not sure what I want beyond a few specs.

I'm kind of with you on that. When you finally find 'the one', GAS tends to go away. However, I went through a couple before I really zeroed in on the tone and feel that spoke to me. Eventually, most will get there, but sometimes it takes some 'trial and error'.

At the moment, I feel that I've find the perfect 60's style, 70's style and 'modern/active sounding (my Sadowsky) J basses, and will soon add what I hope is the optimum P5 for my personal tone goals. That will pretty much finish out the set!:bassist:

Hey Vic....you have some seriously nice basses- Sadowsky and other.
What is your #1 go to bass. And because it's a Sadowsky thread, don't feel you HAVE to pick your Sadowsky.

Me, it's pretty much always been my old modded to hell and back Jazz.
And if a Sadowsky was around, a Sadowsky. And no just saying that.
