Club Sadowsky!!!

Just finished my "for the record" front atrium shots for the Metro. Not my best effort, but I thought I would share a few:

You might consider some Fret Doctor oil for the fingerboard. I don't know how long that one was seasoned and how long it's been built. The Fret Doctor oil nicely darkened up the fingerboard on my Lull and it gave it a nice feel. Good stuff.

When I went into Guitar Center last weekend to try out an effects pedal, the guy that helped me was a bassist and we talked a little about gear. He asked me what type of bass I played and when I answered, "Sadowsky," he had no clue about it. It was strange that I genuinely felt sorry for him...

Maybe it is just here in Florida, but I come across allot of people including bass players and guitar players who never heard of Sadowsky. I get questions all the time about my basses.

Nah, it's everywhere. Just depends on how many really great and educated bass players are in your area. In the cities I spend the most time in (100-200K or far less), it's unusual to find someone Sadowsky-aware. But really, I'm good with that. :)

Anyone have a portabag they don't need?

I hear you. I just got one with the modern, and I would really like to have another for my metro.

They are much easier to use than the standard Sadowsky case.

By the way the one that came with the modern is in excellent condition but the shoulder straps were missing. I called the shop and they hooked me up with a couple at a more than fair price.

Even here in the Baltimore/DC/Virginia megalopolis I've run into quite a few bassists and guitarists who have not heard of Sadowsky. Yet another reason I refer to them as "stealth boutiques". :) Perfect for a blue-collar player like me who wants top-of-the-line quality under his fingers.

Got some better pics... best I can do with my creaky old 2.2 megapixel:
