I'm actually really envious of the body wood and burst finish on your "soon-to-be" PJ. I am GASSING bigtime for a burst PJ4 with an ash body and a really dark Braz RW board. Dang that Bartman anyway.:D

I've always loved the look of the board on my '63 Pbass. It's as black as ebony. I've always thought that it was Brazilian rosewood and only very recently figured out that it might be Indian rosewood. So you are correct that it is a nostalgia thing for me. But what a great look.

I've been kicking around a PJ4 build and contacted Kevin for info. I asked about getting the absolute darkest piece of Braz RW but Kevin said that I would have to go with the Master grade RW to get one really dark. I'm not sure that I could justify the extra cost of the Master grade.

Blair, I almost spoil it! Following Jerry's post I just finished a mock-up of your bass and was about to post it when I read your post...it's still on my photobucket acount if you want me to post it. :D

My uncle is a carpenter. He own maybe $50,000 to $75,000 worth of tools. Does that make him a millionaire? No! He's poor as sh%t. But he's got the right tool for the job and he does very good work partially because of it.

But I agree, I have too many basses and I need to sell a couple.

The worst part is, this is only my Sadowskys. I owned 14 other basses.

I've been playing for over thirty years and I still own my first bass, a 1977 Univox P-bass, Black with maple neck.

Here's an old pic of it. I was the singer in my band but I couldn't sing and play at the same time, so I would stop playing the bass while singing.

Well....... I think I have a buyer for my 1993 24 Fret 5 String.

The only Sadowsky bass I've ever owned.:( It has been my faithful friend for almost 18 years. I put it in the shipping carton yesterday. :hmm: This tougher than I thought.:crying:
If the sale actually goes through, I'll put it on the truck, say goodbye and send it to L.A..:bawl:

I'd like to get a NYC 5 string jazz. There are a few in the classified section.:eyebrow: Any help with the clubs advice will be greatly appreciated. :) I like standard cherryburst ash/maple:smug: I like the vintage 5 ;)

I keep thinkin. about calling Sadowsky and placing an order for a Standard 5 tiger eye, quilt top, ebony board, gold hardware and a black head stock with gold logo.:D:bassist::hyper:
