PM me maybe we can see if it is the same issue. I personally think it has to do with the body cavity. I have been in contact with Sandberg on the issue.

Hello guys, does anybody own MarloweDK 5 string? Looking at buying one but not sure how 35" scale will feel vs my 34" TT5. have anyone compared? Also the pickups position is somewhat different on DK5 vs regular TT5, does it have any effect on tone? Appreciate your feedbacks.
bridge pick up on the 70s position - closer to the bridge-only you know if that is the sound for you-35” scale is fine for me and the B string is good, but again it doesn’t matter if 100 people say they like it if you don’t

Never done a direct 5 string 35” Sandberg to a 34” 5 string, but have played a whole heap of their range across 4 and 5 strings as well as having a 34” Down tuned as far as drop C, so equivocal nearly - never an issue for me anyway, depends how particular you are - For the record i am mainly a 4 banger, but it is in general in some form of drop tuning
I just picked up a used VM5 Nighthawk and noticed that the P is much quieter than the HB. I tried raising the P and lowering the HB and ran it into a meter and realized that the HB is literally twice as loud as the P even after the adjustment. How do I correct this? or even figure out what the problem is? I checked the ohms and they are equal
GC is not a primary retailer for Sanderg, so 100%, no exceptions, any Sandberg you find at a GC is used to begin with, regardless if it was a returned or not. That being said, buy it, take it home. Play it. You have SIX WEEKS (45 days) return policy, plenty of time to decide if you like it. Which is usually one is returned is because some one took it for a test drive for a few weeks at home.
Also, most who buy "Sandberg" basses from GC do not upgrade/mod them till well well past the return policy. So odds are it's in original condition and... at a much better price then "New". Very few GC guys really know the Sandberg brand so it's priced pretty reasonable. I've even bought a used $6k Fodera there once for $3k because they didn't really know what they had Bass wise.

Been thinking about getting a couple of those when I build that studio. A little concerned about the budget getting *ahem* out of hand, though.

Quick question. I have a Cali TM4 and I've been trying to determine weather the bridge humbucker is in the 60's or 70's position. I've seen some other talk on this thread about the TT models, but I'm curious about the TM's. I took a quick measurement, and to me it seems like the pickup is slightly further back than 60's spacing but short of 70's. Can anyone verify this? Is there any specific info on the Sandberg website? I checked and didn't see any.
The reason for my curiosity is I am having a different bass built (different manufacturer) and would like to utilize this same spacing and pickup configuration as I feel it offers about as close as you can possibly get to a 60's and 70's sound while using the north and south coils (with a MM style pickup of course). Any help is greatly appreciated.

I cant seem to get an answer to my question so Im going to return the bass and get something from a brand that responds to their customers
That doesn't look like Sandberg to me.
In fact, Sandberg is known for its excellent customer service. I can confirm this with my personal experience more than once.
Anyway, it might be that there is some problems during pandemic time. I know that Germany is in some kind of a lockdown.
However, I believe that You experience is unpleasant, and as a happy owner, I'm sorry that You are disappointed with Sandberg

Highly unusual. When I emailed them about something, they responded really fast. Must be something up.
Surely your tape measure tells you - internet search tells you the official position of the bridge coil - tape measure tells you, return the bass if you want, but this is something easily determined by yourself as is whether you like it or not
