@kasbrey so it’s you that has all the Umbo’s in the U.K.

me and @FacStudio are starting a monopoly on DK’s, @DJ '65 you would love one!

Here are mine, these are all fully stock from the Sandberg Lab.
DK and VS4 Sandberg pups with Hipshot D tuners, ‘Jon Snow’ with his reverse headstock and battle scars from the Nightwatch has Haüssel pups.

DK has the best neck by far, but love them all

@kasbrey can you expand a little on the Sandberg in house pick up vs the Geezer?
The Sandberg P is a very "open" sounding pickup and my VS4 is naturally bright sounding (only 7.5 lbs) and I wanted something a bit more vintage sounding with strong mids. I tried a few P pickups but the Geezer is so highly rated on here and was exactly what I was looking for.
I prefer the Sandberg P to the Delano one that was originally on my VM4 . Both modern sounding but the Delano especially so.

Here’s for that, good to know, I too prefer the Sandy’s to Delano’s and those Haüssel’s are great too, really great mid range.

I do like my Sandy pup but am thinking of tinkering.
Geezer’s will be up there for sure.

I have a bee in my bonnet about Joe Barden pick ups, but they are not really around in the U.K. so it’s difficult to bite the bullet!

I came to Chicago for New Years Eve to see Bob Mould in concert. Of course, while I’m here, I had to visit Chicago Music Exchange. I had my eye on the Sandberg Forty-Eights. What a great bass. I loved it so much this green one is coming home with me. Marc Najjer (who developed the forty-eight along with Sandberg) was downstairs working the bass department while I was shopping. Cool guy to chat with. He said Sandberg is going to start selling direct in the US and will soon have an actual dealer network.

He also let me know that the bass I just bought is the actual bass used for that premier Guitar article. Pretty cool!

Joining the Forty-Eight owners club. I played mine for 2 hours today.

Yes I believe Marc convinced Sandberg to go into production of the 48’s.
