Mine was originally active though. The Geezer P is a fantastic vintage sounding pickup.@DJ '65 @kasbrey i think we also have the passive VS4’s as well
Not many of them out there I see
The Sandberg P is a very "open" sounding pickup and my VS4 is naturally bright sounding (only 7.5 lbs) and I wanted something a bit more vintage sounding with strong mids. I tried a few P pickups but the Geezer is so highly rated on here and was exactly what I was looking for.@kasbrey can you expand a little on the Sandberg in house pick up vs the Geezer?
drooldrooldrooldrooldroolI came to Chicago for New Years Eve to see Bob Mould in concert. Of course, while I’m here, I had to visit Chicago Music Exchange. I had my eye on the Sandberg Forty-Eights. What a great bass. I loved it so much this green one is coming home with me. Marc Najjer (who developed the forty-eight along with Sandberg) was downstairs working the bass department while I was shopping. Cool guy to chat with. He said Sandberg is going to start selling direct in the US and will soon have an actual dealer network.
He also let me know that the bass I just bought is the actual bass used for that premier Guitar article. Pretty cool!

The Umbo has really caught my eye lately. Any idea if the 5 can be ordered with a 34" scale?
