the neck on my PM 4 is definitely more a J neck than a P neck.
It is a bit thicker than my jag's neck but not very much different. and the specification that sandberg sent me by email (see above) states that. Maybe they changed recently ?
My newest bass: Sandberg custom thinline. Cocobolo top/wenge topring/mahogany bodyback/ ebony fretboard

Wow, congrats on that bass. I didn't even know that they make Custom Thinlines with different woods than the basic model. Now I'm really tempted to get one!

I dont suppose anyone has any sound clips of a PM4 do they?
Ive tracked a Blackburst PM4 down, got the neck dimensions (its almost the same as my Jazz, definitely not P sized) but i realised i still haven't tried one or heard one yet.

i dont slap neither and I sometimes play with a pick. I'll try to make a soundclip "showing" all the sounds you can get from the bass.

Thanks and no problem. I wasn't going to base my decision on sound clips, i just wanted to get some examples of what could be produced.
I still want one and will have one some day. But it will have to have blocks on the neck.
I'm really liking the look of that! And the bass isn't bad either!We played in Arnstorf (Munchen, GE) some Andrew Lloyd Webber's pieces, like Cats, Phantom of the Opera,..., on the rehearsal i asked our singer to make a photo with my equipment... here is the result, think about to send it to Sandberg and ask some fee for the best publicity
