Club St. Germaine

Those are some excellent specs you are after (also very cool bass! Im guessing it was a Pablo purchase?). Kinda similar to what Bernie has been going after.

To be honest, Geoff can do everything you want and more and I would highly recommend you reach out to him to see what can be done. He might also have some stock instruments that you could try!

I did purchase a different Swan from Pablo in 2023 to see what they were all about, but I got this one directly from Swan to my specs!

I contacted Geoff, and I have to say I'm thoroughly impressed. Of all the builders I've contacted thus far, he's the only one who's been able to answer all of my questions and build exactly what I want!

Great to hear! Send some renders when you get them :)

Hey all - I wanted to mention an update. I have had to cancel purchasing the Vulture 6. The tariff threat from the US severely impacted the business I run and has forced me to pause operations and left me with a lot of product paid for and laid out that I no longer have enough clients to support. I suppose I was overextended given that the threat of a tariff had caused such a problem. My family will still get by on my day job salary, but it's put the purchase of the bass too far into disposable income that I no longer have. Geoff was gracious enough to refund my full deposit.

For those looking for a really nice 6-string bass, I expect it will be done and posted for sale in the next couple of weeks.

I still had my work trip this week to Halifax, but I decided not to visit Geoff as it felt like a crummy thing to do given I had to cancel buying the bass.

Oh man.. I hate to hear that. There are more important things than basses, though, and I'm glad to hear that your finances are stable enough that your family life will be OK.

I feel you. I've been meaning to put a deposit on something -- just not quite sure yet -- but I'm holding back due to tariff threats :rollno:

That's very unfortunate but understandable, I did sell some basses just so I could get these next coming up. Hopefully it's all a bluff and we can get back to normal soon!

What were the specs of your bass again? Do you have more pics?

Thanks for the comments all. It's unfortunate... and I feel bad for anyone impacted by what seems to be going on that is all about nothing. Anyway...
