Ahh!! Good eye. I didnt even realize that was there. It's a reflection or something from the lighting. Those strings are Ernie Ball Slinkies that I put on when I was demoing the bass. No wraps at the end.

Cole Clark Basses at NAMM

Had a quick look at these today and these appear to be some mighty fine instruments. Nice to have some Melbourne representation in these parts too!
Did anyone else make it by the Cole Clark booth at NAMM? I'm really curious about the other basses that were there. Especially this fretless and the red one. That six string also has my interest peaked.

Thanks for posting that! I was fortunate enough to have that prototype 5 string Neil is holding in this video in my possession for a few months and put it through the paces. I kick myself daily for not finding a way to come up with the $$$ to purchase it. It was hands down one of the best playing and best sounding basses I've ever got my hands on. It played like lightning and sounded like thunder. The electronics he uses are top notch and sound amazing. The wood combos to are incredibly beautiful and some of the best tone woods. That bass was sub-8 lbs but sounded like it weighed 14 lbs. I'm super excited to see the production models of these. Thanks again to Neil for making such an innovative well designed bass and Cole Clark for letting me demo it.
Yup. They've got production models available here in the states now too. I played a few of them at Summer NAMM this year. They are spectacular! The heel has been modified a little bit from the prototype, but for the better.
