I'm part of the Mile High Honor Guard (Buckley AFB Honor Guard) and we're on our way to Fort Logan National Cemetery to perform final honors for SSgt Jesse Childress. Not sure if it's open to public or media.

I say on our way because I'm on my phone, literally on the way.

If one person could have #666 and another, #77, Then I want #777!:bassist:
Once upon a time I was in a men's room at a bar. Someone had scrawled "666: The Number of the Beast" on the wall.

Later, someone else wrote, next to it, "667, the Neighbor of the Beast."

Later yet, someone else wrote, above it, "766, the Upstairs Neighbor of the Beast."

Not really all that funny, but I've remembered it for years.

I will be playing a gig this Friday (7th) at DUKES BACKSTREET Tavern in Aurora. Be great for any of you Denver Metro members to come out and help us party. Be using my fEARful cabs with a Streamliner 900 and most likely my Ric 4004cii bass.

Prepare to party!

Dukes is at 1150 South Galena Street Denver, CO 80247

Hope some of you can make it out and make sure you come up and say hi!

Hey everyone, so I noticed last week that Mars Amp Repair off Sante Fe has closed up. Really sad to hear because he was an awesome repair guy.

That said, I took my Ashdown in to Rob's music in Boulder and have nothing but great things to say about the job they did. It was a quick fix (soldering in a new bulb on the motherboard for the VU meter), but he also cleaned out the inside of the amp, the pots, and the rat fur covering. Also did it for a reduced rate.

The kid was a little young, but he definitely knows his stuff and is honest up front with you about what he can and can't do and how much it'll run.

Shame. I had a good experience at Mars. I think Robb's is the official Ashdown repair facility in Colorado, so no real option there. I had an Ashdown in there for repair about five years ago. They did a fine job but did take about 6 weeks to get it done.

During that time I found out what a ridiculously good amp the GK Backline is; it had been my backup up until that time, but I was gigging a lot then.

I've been doing mostly musicals lately, but I can finally post a "real" gig in here! :D

I got into an 11-piece funk outfit a while back and am playing my first live show with them tonight! Come see Mass Hipsteria at The Dark Horse Bar in Boulder tonight, we start at 9:30pm and there's no cover. We'll be playing lots of Tower of Power, Steely Dan, some Earth Wind & Fire, Al Green, Chicago, Michael Jackson, Neville Brothers, etc. I've never been to the Dark Horse, but the band members say the burgers are pretty awesome!

I'm a little nervous because it's my first show with them and it's the first time in a band of all seasoned pros (among the 11 of us, we have 24 different gigs), but they're all pretty cool and it'll be a fun time. If you come down, make sure to say hi!
