i don't recall the cost, but there is a shop near prosound just south of Maizeland on Academy. It's called Music Central, i believe. Those guys are pretty decent and always quick turnaround whenever i take work over there.
This is some pretty scary stuff I've got a lot of good friends all up in and around this mess.

I'm going to put a sign in my yard warning anyone shooting fireworks in my neighborhood that the cops will be called. If anyone in the Springs is that selfish or stupid enough to do so with all that's going on, they get everything they deserve.

I guess he's probably thinking it's fair warning--but I'm with you, it could just serve him up for some unwelcome attention. I would just go ahead and call the cops if you feel the need. These people know what they are doing and that it is illegal. I hesitate with the kids in my neighborhood but I probably shouldn't.

The point being that anyone setting off fireworks right now is exercising terrible judgment, and is subject to our extreme collective ire. I get it. Not sure what the right way would be to bleed off that aggression, but we all feel it.
Yeah, that was a vent more than anything. No sign is going up. After all that happened Tuesday when the fire rushed over that ridge into Mountain Shadows, I was incensed at the thought of anyone shooting fireworks off in a neighborhood. That being said, I'm sure as hell not going to turn a blind eye and pretend it's someone else's responsibility if someone is out endangering my neighborhood via their selfishness. Too much of that in this country.

I have neighbors in a rental house that throw parties about once a month, and they are notorious for setting off fireworks on the 4th.
I haven't said anythng yet & I really don't want to be the "Get off my lawn!" guy, but I have a 40-foot pine in my front yard that's as dry as a popcorn fart, and the last thing I need is a bunch of meat heads setting it on fire...
Well at least I'm not alone in feeling like a concerned curmudgeon! I didn't want to be "that guy" but there seem to be a lot of "us" from the small sample in this thread.

It was probably unintentionaly, but I find the mixed metaphor of a "meaty popcorn fart on fire" hilarious.
Here's the view from the work parking lot Wednesday. Many of my co-workers are evacuated or lost their homes in Mountain Shadows.
Anyone who likes diy venues, come check out Miami Steve's this Friday. It's at 555 Santa Fe, in the back of the Black Book Gallery. It's faceman's space, and he's been setting up shows on first fridays that are pretty fun. You can check out the art walk then catch some live music.
