A very special "Thank You" to Mr. Dan Basica and his top-notch staff for hosting an outstanding get-together at his wonderful store, Premier Bass Guitars in Superior, Colorado.
There were many attendees from TB who enjoyed some really good catered food, some great war stories & some fantastic bass playing, as well as a superb presentation by Surine Basses.
Regrettably, I was pressed for time & could not stay for the entire event, but I was extremely impressed by the store, the staff and the hospitality shown towards those who attended.
Well done, Premier, well done!

Yes, thanks to everyone that got this thing off the ground. It was super fun, too bad I showed up late. Loads of killer gear and good people, couldn't have gone better IMO. It was good to put some faces to TB names. The only problem is that now I want a Surine...
Good times for sure! Some super nice gear, super nice guys and gals, and super good players in the Denver area. Represent!
I had a good time too. Only wish I could've stayed longer! When can we schedule the next one?
To those that are now gassing for Surines... I think I may possibly know a guy that can put you in touch with a guy that know's the dentist of the person that could hook you up.
Chace90: Schedule the next one? How about next Saturday? In all seriousness, other than there being 30 or so people in the shop at once, that's kind of what Saturdays are like. We have regulars (a few that showed up yesterday) that will come in and spend two or three hours just playing, chatting, BS'ing, and in general just having a good time. If you want something, Great! We'll sell it to you... if you don't, no worries... PBG really tries to encourage folks to come in the shop and hang out, talk bass, try out stuff and experiment... Talk about your gigs and gear, about the weather, the scenery whatever...
Maybe I'll start scheduling less formal "mini-get togethers" and promoting them a few weeks out... hosting something like B string shoot outs... or a set up clinic... or who knows... No matter what, PBG's a place to come and hang as well as find your next number 1.

I, too, am already jonesin' for the next GTG! I'd like to echo what everyone else has said about how nice everyone is, what great riffs were thumpin' out, and I'm relieved nobody had to wipe drool off their basses cuz there were some true beauties out there!
My Black Sunshine has a bridge to headstock grin on with her new strings and everyone, I promise the next string changes will be at much more frequent intervals!
My only regret is that I didn't play around more on everyone else's basses and try out more gear. There's so much to learn about!

BumbleB, your little bass really sang with those new strings. That's a great little short scale!
As Eric said, PBG is sort of a full time bass get together. I learned early on never to go to the store unless I had plenty of time. You can't get out the door without lots of chat and "trying just one more bass." Wherever you live in the area, it's worth the drive to get to the store.

OMG, Eric fired that thing up on that Glockenklang 2x12 that had been sitting at the shop forever, and I'm pretty sure everything else in the shop stopped. WOW, what a sound! Kurt (the owner of the Verellen, who I don't believe is on Talkbass) bought that cab immediately. Then of course we joked that he didn't buy a cab, he bought a cart for the Verellen. LOL!
